Varicose veins can be an unsightly cosmetic condition. However, vein problems could be more than just cosmetic. They can be a serious health issue. For this reason, when you visit the Vein Center, you'll be seen by a Beaumont doctor who is board certified in interventional and diagnostic radiology.
The Beaumont Vein Center in Grosse Pointe Farms specializes in innovative, non-surgical varicose veins solutions. Treatments include:
- laser vein ablation - a minimally invasive treatment that uses laser energy to cauterize varicose veins in the legs
- phlebectomy - the removal of veins through micro incisions
- sclerotherapy - for the treatment of spider and varicose veins that uses a fine needle to inject a blocking agent
Patients will be assessed for vein disease by using an ultrasound scanner to visualize structure and flow of blood in the veins, followed by a recommendation for treatment and procedure. Diagnosis is based on abnormal vein function. Laser vein ablation and most other procedures at the Beaumont Vein Center can be completed in under an hour and are covered by most insurances.

Integrative Medicine is also offered at the Beaumont Vein Center in Grosse Pointe Farms.
